I am Sven Rauhe, and I grew up in a scenic little town in East Berlin at the time when the Wall was still up. At the art school, I attended and later on working as an acrobatic artist, I was surrounded by beautiful, well-trained bodies all my life. This experience brought with itself the fascination for the beauty of human nude. My camera helps me to express my gratitude for the incredible things the human body is capable of and brings me to adventurous journeys toward undetermined destinations. In my work, the female form appears in its entire strength and sensuality. My photographs are straightforward or intricate and celebrate the nude by combining light and posture that evoke emotions.
